Derrick & Allison...{Engaged!}

First of all...Happy Canada Day eh!! Canada Day is actually one of my favourite holidays...not because I have big plans, but for exactly the opposite really...I love that everything is closed and it is a perfect excuse to do NOTHING! Ahhhhh! I hear my porch and a glass of wine calling...

Anywho, I met up with Derrick and Allison a couple of weekends ago for their engagement session...talk about two busy love birds!! Allison has been accepted to vet school and Derrick has a few more years of his apprenticeship...now not only is Allison off to vet school, but she is quite possibly headed off to Scotland! Lucky girl! But this would mean a long distance relationship for this Mrs and Mr-to-be for a few years...as someone who did the long distance thing myself...it can suck sometimes, but when it's right, it's right, so hang in there guys and four years will be up in no time! Besides, if I was Derrick I would be taking every opportunity to go visit...hellooooo Loch Ness Monster!

We met up at Queens Park in Stratford for the photos and it was a beautiful morning for pictures! I lived in Stratford all my life but we still managed to discover a couple new spots that were great!! Check out some of my favourites from the session!

Congratulations guys and good luck with your studies!! Four years will be gone in no time!!

Sarah & Bob...{Married...Finally!}

Last weekend was beautiful, the perfect weather for a wedding...and guess where we were? That's riiiight...we traveled down to London to capture the highly anticipated big day of Bob and Sarah. Bob and Sarah are some of my best repeat clients(...their wedding was our 3rd shoot in a year!), so I was super pumped when they contacted me about the big day!

Sarah is a details-girl and a floral designer, so I knew it would be beautiful, but WOW! The location was incredible...Bellamere Winery is absolutely beautiful, the flowers and decor Sarah did herself were gorgeous and what wedding is complete without an absolutely stunning bride and miss Sarah sure did not disappoint!! Sarah's Paloma Blanca gown suited her perfectly and she rocked it with her accessories and the perfect wedding shoes! (Bob didn't look too shabby himself either!)

I believe that there were several references made throughout the day about it being "about time!"...we were truly honoured to have been able to capture the perfect wedding day of a couple that is so in love...Congratulations guys!! We are so happy for you!!

Here's a smattering of our favourites from the big day!

Lori & Wes...{Hitched!}

Two weekends ago, we traveled to the other side of Toronto to capture Wes and Lori's big day! Since rain has been the theme of the spring this year, we weren't surprised to see rain on the forecast for the day...and rain it did! As we turned off the highway, we found ourselves driving into a wall of water...yikes! BUT, the someone was looking down on the lovebirds as the rain was short lived...it was a lot at once, but it greened everything up and was on it's way fairly quickly. And you know...rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Anyways, I have known Wes and his groomsmen for a longtime (Bruce County and Perth County are rivals in the Dairy 4-H Show world...) and I have known Lori and her maid of honour, Pat, for several years as well. It is always fun to photograph people you know and have common interests with...most people would have had a bird when they heard there would be cows in the photos let alone that the bride would be the one holding her!! As a fellow dairy farmer, I was excited to hear the pics would be taking place on Lori's family farm and that there would be a smattering of cows involved! Yay!!

We had a lot of fun and were honoured to be a part of the day! Special thanks to Nicole who did a fantastic job second shooting for the day!

Here are some of the favourites of the day (expertly arranged with my new toy...BlogStomp!! Woot!)

Congratulations Guys!!!
